The Valerie Gillespie Cup
For The Best New Initiative in Community Activity
to Enhance the Environment

To mark the memory of Mrs Valerie Gillespie, MBE, who died suddenly at the end of last year, The Nottinghamshire Branch of CPRE has instituted an award scheme. The scheme has the support and sponsorship of Severn Trent Water Limited.

The award will made annually to a community initiative enhancing the environment, and selected as being the best within Nottinghamshire. The Award will comprise a cup to be held for one year and replaced with a permanently engraved plaque, together with a cash award of £150.

Entry is open to any group or individual who can show that their initiative meets the criteria set out in the attached entry form. If they have the support and recommendation of the Parish Council it will go a long way to demonstrating the community involvement, but entries made directly to the CPRE, Nottinghamshire Branch will be accepted.
